MONROE – A unit at the Monroe correctional complex was brought back to normal operation this morning, state officials said.

The Washington State Reformatory had been in lockdown since a fight involving 12 inmates occurred March 26. No inmates suffered serious injuries in the fight; no staff members were hurt.

The reformatory started switching from lockdown to normal operation over the weekend. It’s one of the five units at the state’s largest complex. The reformatory houses about 800 inmates.
