Interim director to take charge at Monroe prison

MONROE – An interim superintendent will take charge of the Monroe Correctional Complex starting on Tuesday, according to the state Department of Corrections.

Superintendent Ken Quinn, who has been in charge of the state’s largest prison complex since 2005, is to undergo a medical treatment. He is scheduled to be assigned to special re-entry projects at the department’s Everett field office.

Dan Pacholke will serve as an interim superintendent at Monroe during Quinn’s absence. Pacholke now works as the superintendent at Stafford Creek Corrections Center near Aberdeen. Associate superintendent Pat Glebe will be temporarily promoted to superintendent of the corrections center.
