Everett boy badly injured in skateboarding accident

A 15-year-old Everett boy who apparently was skateboarding while holding on to the back of a pickup was injured in an accident Tuesday evening.
Aid crews took the unconscious boy to Harborview Park, where he was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.
The boy fell and tumbled on 56th Street SW between Ocean and Sound avenues in Everett, Everett Assistant Fire Chief Joe Johnston said. He had a head injury a possible shoulder injury, Johnston said.
The truck was believed to be traveling at about 20 mph when the accident occurred, officials said.
