MARYSVILLE — A blaze that destroyed a Marysville duplex early Tuesday morning is being called suspicious.
No one was hurt in the fire that started around 1:30 a.m. in the 9900 block of 49th Drive NE, Marysville Fire District spokeswoman Kristen Thorstenson said.
A witness saw the fire on a porch and alerted neighbors to get out of the building, she said firefighters were told.
When crews arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the blaze under control but were unable to save the structure, Thorstenson said.
Two cats are missing.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
