‘Hoblins and Goblins’ author signs books in Monroe

Author event: It’s time to put the kids in a Halloween state of mind.

Arlington-based author Charles Van Pelt plans to meet readers at Main Street Books in Monroe on Thursday night, signing copies of his children’s story, “Hoblins and Goblins.”

The self-published book, illustrated by Granite Falls resident Bob Dunn, follows a boy and a girl who head home from a friend’s house on Halloween night.

Copies of the book will be on sale for $15 at the store.

The event begins at 7 p.m. Thursday at Main Street Books, 110 E. Main St., Suite 100, Monroe. For more information, call 360-794-2976.
