MONROE – Three people, including two teenagers, were arrested early today after police discovered around $5,000 damage at Sky River Park in Monroe.

Police were called to the park around 1:50 a.m. after a resident reported hearing people and loud noises, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.

The playground slide, trashcans, a bench, landscaping and bathroom windows were among the things that were vandalized, Willis said.

“It’s just senseless,” she said.

Officers arrested three people, a man, 20, and two boys, 16 and 17, all from Monroe. The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail and the teens were placed behind bars at the Denney Juvenile Justice Center for investigation of second-degree malicious mischief, Willis said. Police still are looking for a fourth suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Monroe police at 360-794-6300.
