‘It’s like a holiday’ at downtown Everett Starbucks

Rob Heib, 39, of Stanwood, stopped at Starbucks on Colby Avenue in downtown Everett on his way home from work in Shoreline Tuesday morning. He planned to buy a hot chocolate, but baristas told him that Starbucks was giving away free coffee in celebration of Election Day.

“I sent in my absentee ballot about two days after I got it in the mail,” Heib said. “I knew right away who I would vote for.”

Starbucks baristas said the line in their store stretched out the door at some points during the morning. One barista said, “It’s like a holiday!”
