AHS to host Winterfest
The Arlington High School Winterfest Art Show is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6 in the school’s commons, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd.
Food, gifts, wreaths and baked goods will be for sale.
Camano Island
Public hearing set on highway developments
Island County plans to hear public comments on proposed regulations for commercial development along Highway 532.
A public hearing is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Camano Senior and Community Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island.
The regulations can be viewed on the county’s Web page at www.islandcounty.net/planning, at the Camano Island county annex building or by e-mailing B.Talebi@co.island.wa.us.
Marysville
City’s fall newsletter available online
The city of Marysville’s newsletter for autumn 2008 is now available on-line or at city offices.
The 2008 Marysville Messenger contains city news and information about upcoming events.
Hard copies are free at city offices, including City Hall at 1049 State Ave. To read or download from the Web, go to www.ci.marysville.wa.us.
Stanwood
Foundation offers offices for groups
Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation has small offices available for local community organizations for nominal monthly fees.
The offices are located in the Viking Village in downtown ÂStanwood.

City has holiday drives for food, clothes, toys
The city of Stanwood is asking residents to participate in a donation drive.
A donation box is located in the lobby of City Hall.
People are asked to donate new, unwrapped clothing, socks, toys and gift cards for children through age 18. Also needed is nonperishable food for the food bank.
Checks for the Marlece Duncan Memorial Shoe Fund helps the school district make sure students have shoes.
In addition, people can donate to help others pay their city utility bills.

Christmas tree auction to benefit organizations
A festival of trees auction, which will benefit local organizations, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Tazer Valley Farm, 7314 300th St. NW. Tickets are $35 and are available at the door.
Local groups will decorate a Christmas tree that will be auctioned at the event. All funds raised during the auction will benefit the Stanwood Community and Senior Center as well as 10 other community organizations.
