CLEARVIEW – Rescue crews Thursday morning waded through chest-high water to reach people trapped at the Three Rivers Mobile Home Park.

Firefighters and rescue crews rushed around 10 a.m. to rescue residents of the mobile home park on Elliot Road, Snohomish County Fire District 3 spokeswoman Richelle Risdon said.

Rising floodwaters already sent many people scrambling for safety, Risdon said. Rescuers used inflatable kayaks to get to those still stranded in their homes.

Three residents refused to leave their homes, Risdon said.

Most of the people evacuated from the park sought shelter through the Red Cross, Risdon said.

If people find themselves in a dangerous situation and need help, they should call 911 immediately.
