Il Divo, a pop classical group that performed at one of President Barack Obama’s inaugural balls, plans to play Comcast Arena on June 2.

Tickets for “An Evening With Il Divo” go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 31.

Since forming in 2004, the vocal quartet has released several platinum albums. Il Divo’s most recent record, 2008’s “The Promise,” achieved gold record status in December.

Promoter Live Nation said the group’s new tour will be staged and choreographed by William Baker, who has worked with Kylie Minogue, on a state-of-the-art set, with a wardrobe designed by Giorgio Armani.

Several classically trained vocalists with pop appeal have played Comcast Arena in recent weeks. December saw the venue host both Broadway star Sarah Brightman and the quintet Celtic Thunder.

Ticket prices for Il Divo’s Everett show range from $58.70 to $128.70. For more on the concert, visit www.comcastarenaeverett.com or call 866-332-8499. For more on the group, visit www.ildivo.com.

Il Divo performed at Obama’s Purple Ball in the District of Columbia on Jan. 20.
