Come and feast on some wild meat
Chad Schearer, who appears on the “Black Powder Guns and Hunting” TV show, is the guest speaker at the wild meat dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Christian Assembly, 2715 Everett Ave., Everett.
Schearer is a guest host for the show, which airs on The Outdoor Channel and Fox Sports-South.
Feast on elk meatballs, deer, bear, moose, wild turkey, beef roast, salmon, mashed potatoes and vegetables.
Raffle items include several autographed buck knives, a Winchester rifle and handmade chocolates.
Proceeds benefit Light for the Lost, an Assemblies of God men’s ministry that provides audio, visual and printed materials for missionaries around the world.
The cost is $20 for adults, $12 for children 12 and under.

Sultan to honor town’s volunteers
A potluck dinner is planned Saturday in Sultan to honor volunteers.
November, December and January were trying times for Sultan, with floods, snow, ice, more snow, then more floods.
Volunteers came out of their warm homes to help the city and their neighbors with stacking sandbags, snowplowing and clearing storm drains.
Celebrate their efforts at 5 p.m. at Sultan High School, 13715 310th Ave. SE. Bring a potluck dish to share.

Good reason for expo in Monroe
The Northwest Model Hobby Expo begins today at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe.
The show came to Monroe three years ago so exhibitors could demonstrate model airplanes. See radio-controlled helicopters, race cars, battling robots and more.
