Be inspired by some awesome violin playing

There’s lots of family friendly entertainment going on this upcoming weekend of April 17.
There’s Kungfu Theatre in Seattle for colorful acrobatics. There’s Charlotte’s Web on Whidbey Island. Check out this Friday’s A&E section for details.
But if you want to hear awesome music and expose your kids to some really inspirational violin playing, you should check out “A Tribute to Mr. Strings.”
This is the Rosehill Revue’s show in Mukilteo and one of the highlight performers is Fred Chu.
Chu is a Gene Nastri School strings teacher and concertmaster of the Everett Symphony Orchestra. He’s a phenomenal violin player who does unbelievable things with that instrument.
Chu is performing Sarasate’s “Carmen Fantasy,” a fast-paced gypsy-inspired number that so fits Chu’s physical style with the violin.
Chu plays with lots of passion and flare. You will be mesmerized.
“A Tribute to Strings” is at 2 and 7 p.m. April 18 at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. General admission is $12.
