Granite Falls: Town meeting planned
The public is invited to a town meeting organized by the Granite Falls Concerned Citizens Association scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Granville Grange, 9401 163rd Ave. NE in Getchell.
Several topics are expected to be addressed. Scheduled guest speakers include city councilmen Matt Hartman and Tom Fitzgerald. A raffle, refreshments and snacks are planned.

Marysville: Armed Forces Family Day
Military families, including members of the National Guard and reservists and their families, will be guests of honor at the annual Armed Forces Family Fun Day.
The event is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Marysville YMCA, 6420 60th Drive NE.
Activities include free swimming, basketball, use of the teen center, Adventure Zone and arts and crafts. Information about Red Cross and YMCA programs will be available and light refreshments will be served.

Silvana: Event to benefit Viking Hall
The Silvana Community Association has scheduled its annual spaghetti dinner and bingo night for Sunday at Viking Hall, 1331 Pioneer Highway, Silvana
Doors open at 4:30 p.m., dinner is served at 5 p.m. and bingo starts at about 6 p.m.
Proceeds benefit the Viking Hall capital improvement fund.
Tickets are $5.50 for dinner and between $1 and $10 for games.

Tulalip: Coast Salish canoe practice set
Practice for the annual Coast Salish Canoe Journey will be held each Wednesday at the Tulalip Marina until July, when tribal members from around the Pacific Northwest will begin paddling toward Suquamish tribal land near Kingston.
Tulalip tribal members practice for months each year in preparation for the journey. The team has paddled as far north as British Columbia in past years. This year is the journey’s 20th anniversary.

Stanwood: Raise the Roof event Saturday
Raise The Roof For A Cure is the theme for the Relay For Life barn dance, dinner and auction set for 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Bonnie S. Cole Building at the Stanwood Camano Fairgrounds on Pioneer Highway. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society.
The South End String Band is scheduled to entertain.
Relay committee members will register cancer survivors for the Stanwood-Camano Relay For Life Celebration on May 29 and 30 at Stanwood High School.
Admission for the evening is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
