Red Sox put Baldelli on DL

NEW YORK — The banged-up Boston Red Sox have put outfielder Rocco Baldelli on the 15-day disabled list because of a bruised left ankle.
The Red Sox recalled outfielder Josh Reddick from Triple-A Pawtucket. He was available for Thursday night’s game in New York against the Yankees.
With outfielder Jason Bay expected to miss at least the first two games of the four-game series because of a bad hamstring, the Red Sox shifted Gold Glove first baseman Kevin Youkilis to left field.
