Boeing’s supporters in Washington, D.C. will use the company’s “KC-7A7 Tanker Air Refueling Technology Trailer” to talk about the upcoming Air Force competition tomorrow.
Boeing will compete against Northrop Grumman and its partner, EADS, for the roughly $35 billion tanker contract. The Air Force is expected this week to release a draft request for proposal, which will give Boeing and Northrop an idea what the agency seeks in a tanker.
Tomorrow morning, Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., and members of the Washington and Kansas congressional delegations will visit Boeing’s trailer, where the company showcases some of its tanker technology.
