The Air Force picked Northrop Grumman for a $3.8 billion contract to service its fleet of KC-10 tankers.

Rival Boeing had held the contract for more than a decade, Reuters reports.

The contract award was announced today and can be viewed on the Defense Department’s Web site.

Northrop and Boeing also are locked in a battle to win a $35 billion contract with the Air Force to replace its fleet of KC-135 aerial refueling tankers.
