Take a stroll in Snohomish on shortest day of the year
Published 12:01 am Tuesday, December 15, 2009
Dec. 21 is the winter solstice, the day with the least amount of daylight. Don your warm walking clothes for a lantern-lighted stroll on Monday along the Riverfront Trail at Kla-Ha-Ya Park in Snohomish.
The Historic Downtown Snohomish organization will place paper lanterns along the trail beginning about 4 p.m. The walking, the caroling, the hot chocolate warm-up is up to you. Lanterns will be in place until about 7 p.m.
Kla-Ha-Ya Park is at 1117 First St. in downtown Snohomish.
Celebrate. After the 21st, the daylight hours will get a little longer each day.
