Gusty winds predicted for Everett area in morning

EVERETT — Winds gusting up to 45 mph were expected in the area this morning, forecasters said.

The National Weather Service in Seattle issued a wind advisory for the Everett area from midnight to 10 a.m. Winds were expected to ease after dawn, said Johnny Berg, a meteorologist with the weather service.

A coastal flood advisory also was issued for this morning. A low pressure system was expected to bring high tides and cause minor overflow in the coastal areas around Puget Sound.
