SEATTLE — An Everett man was sentenced to seven years in federal prison for illegal gun possession and drug trafficking.
Saravouth Sun, 28, has a lengthy and violent criminal history, according to federal prosecutors. He has long been a thorn in the side of police in Snohomish and Skagit counties, a federal judge said Friday.
Sun had convictions for armed burglary and cocaine possession. As a convicted felon he was prohibited from having any guns.
Sun was arrested in March in Mount Vernon during a traffic stop. Skagit County sheriff’s deputies found two semi-automatic pistols and methamphetamine in Sun’s backpack, authorities said.
