Everett: Learn about city plan proposals
Everett has received three applications for changes to its comprehensive plan, an important city document that outlines community goals that officials turn to when making decisions about land use.
The applications are for changes to the Port of Everett and Jeld Wen property in north Everett; Edgewater Park expansion between Shore Avenue and West Mukilteo Boulevard; and new park land south of Bruskrud Road and west of I-5.
City staff plan to give a presentation on the applications at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the city of Everett Planning Commission meeting, 2930 Wetmore Ave., eighth floor.
This is just the start of a process that will include more open meetings before any changes are approved.

School Board plans special meeting
The Everett School Board plans to meet at 5 tonight to review the findings of an investigation into one of its principals. The investigation found anonymous claims against the principal to be baseless.
The five-person board has not previously reviewed the report, although board President Ed Petersen was briefed on the results. That was a point of contention during a school board meeting held last week. The board’s review will happen during an executive session.
The board meets at the Educational Service Center, 4730 Colby Ave.
