Hiker injured near Spada Lake

SULTAN — A hiker received non-life threatening head injuries and some bumps and scratches after falling in the Spada Lake trail area.

The woman was rescued by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue team and the Sultan Fire Department after a friend called for help at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

She was taken to Valley General Hospital in Monroe, said Lt. Jeff Brand, spokesman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

It was unknown how far the woman fell, her age or place of residence.
