Fishing’s eggheads to meet Sept. 4-8 in Seattle

Some 4,000 scientists and technicians from the American Fisheries Society will meet Sept. 4 through 8 in Seattle to talk about a variety of issues from fish management to habitat and recreational fishing.

The conference will take place at the state Convention Center in downtown Seattle.

If you can’t make it you might want to take a look at question and answer interviews with two presenters from the University of Washington, professors Ray Hilborn and Nate Mantua. Both are professors.

Hilborn will talk about global fishing and fish as a part of the world’s food supply. Mantua will talk about global warming and its effect on pacific salmon.
