MONROE — Police arrested an Everett man Tuesday evening they believe is responsible for bank robberies in Arlington, Mornoe and Snohomish this summer.

The suspect, 52, was taken into custody without incident shortly before 6 p.m. The arrest was made in the 600 block of 46th St. SE in Everett.

Detectives from Arlington, Monroe and Snohomish apprehended the suspect.

“This was a team effort as detectives from the three cities as well as the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office met this morning to compare notes and discuss strategy,” Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.

Outside the home was a metallic blue Chevrolet Nova that was described by a witness from the Snohomish bank robbery July 28.

A search warrant was obtained for the man’s arrest and search of the home and car.

Evidence was seized from the third-floor apartment and the vehicle was impounded.

Police believe the suspect robbed the Union Bank in the 200 block of W. Main Street around 3 p.m. Monday. He’s also a suspect in a June 30 bank robbery in Arlington.
