MONROE — Police believe a man who held up a Monroe bank Monday afternoon also might be responsible for bank robberies in Arlington and Snohomish this summer.
The suspect entered the Union Bank in the 200 block of W. Main Street around 3 p.m. Monday.
A teller told police the man passed
a note demanding money and implied that he had a gun, but it was not seen, according to a police report.
The teller handed over an unspecified amount of cash.
The suspect is described as heavy set, white and in his mid 50s. He is about 5-feet, 5-inches tall. His hair and beard are gray. He was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt or jacket and blue jeans.
The man left the bank in an unknown direction.
Police said he is a suspect in a June 30 bank robbery in Arlington and a July 28 bank robbery in Snohomish.
The suspect’s vehicle may be a metallic blue 1970’s passenger car with shiny mag wheels.
The FBI has been notified of Monday’s robbery, police said.
