Prep girls soccer: Everett 5, Marysville Getchell 1

EVERETT — Makaela Mellams scored with an assist from Hayley Ayers in the closing minutes of the first half to grab a 2-1 lead for Everett which would be enough to secure the victory in the Wesco 3A match. Everett had taken the lead early with a 12th minute goal from Khadija Tarver on a penalty kick, but the Chargers answered back in the 22nd minute with a goal from Kelsee Crenshaw. Everett (9-0-1 league, 9-0-1 overall) had three second-half goals from Bailey McMullen, McKayla Fox and another from Ayers. Marysville Getchell fell to 1-6-3, 1-6-3. Katie Johnson was goalkeeper for Everett.
