Body of Snohomish man found in Newport, Ore.

NEWPORT, Ore. — Authorities in Newport, Ore. say a body found on a lawn between Highway 101 and Wal-Mart has been identified as that of a 29-year-old Snohomish man.

KVAL reports the body of Mark L. Wendell was found Sunday. His identity was initially withheld pending notification of relatives.

The medical examiner has not yet determined a cause of death.
