Heavy traffic expected for tulip festival

Troopers are reminding drivers to mind their manners if they plan to visit the Skagit County Tulip Festival.

There will be lots of traffic and distractions, said trooper Keith Leary with the Washington State Patrol.

Drivers should plan ahead and pay extra attention, especially at intersections and when getting on and off the highways, he said.

There will be additional bicycle and pedestrian traffic as well.
