EVERETT — No one was injured in a fire that broke out in a home about 5 a.m. Saturday in the 4100 block of 103rd Ave SE.

Homeowners were awakened by a smoke alarm from a fire that broke out near a hot water tank, said Matt Bernethy, battalion chief with Snohomish County Fire District 8. Firefighters from Fire District 4 assisted in containing the fire, he said.

There was damage to the room where the fire started and smoke damage throughout the house, but no estimate of damage was immediately available, Bernethy said.
