Port Orchard brothers charged in drug death

PORT ORCHARD — Kitsap County prosecutors have charged two Port Orchard brothers with controlled substance homicide in the death of a woman.

Prosecutors say Stephen and Matthew Zapatka provided the heroin that killed Shelly Ione Dubois, 49, last November with an overdose.

The Kitsap Sun reported that Stephen Zapatka was arrested Monday and an arrest warrant was issued for Peter Zapatka.

If convicted they could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
