3 arrested in theft of roofing shingles truck

CASTLE ROCK — Authorities say three men accused of stealing a commercial truck loaded with about $10,000 worth of roofing shingles from a Portland, Ore., business have been arrested in Castle Rock.

The Oregonian reported that the truck from ABC Supply Co. was equipped with GPS, which allowed officers to track it to a home.

The theft was reported early Wednesday.

Arrested were Matthew C. Chapman of Castle Rock, Wash.; a transient identified as Mathew C. Caldwell and Gene L. Dodds of Portland.

They were booked into the Cowlitz County Jail for investigation of trafficking stolen property, theft and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
