Google Glass royally flushed from casinos

Know when to walk away, know when to run: Casinos in several states have warned gamblers not to show up wearing Google Glass, the device worn like glasses that allows users to shoot photos and video and surf the Internet. The specs, the casinos claim, could be used by gamblers to cheat at poker. The news follows Google’s decision earlier this week to block Glass viewers from watching porn on the $1,500 devices.

No gambling? No porn? Who’s going to spend $1,500 to watch cat videos and take photos of their lattes?

Pocket change: The Transportation Security Administration is dropping its plan to allow passengers to carry small knives onto planes after members of Congress objected to the change.

Nice to know that members of Congress, burdened by the hours spent killing reasonable legislation for universal background checks, had time to worry about pen knives on planes.

What goes best with pretzels, white or red? Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines is switching to wine served in aluminum cans, rather than the traditional glass bottles. Spirit is making the switch because the cans are easier to stack and are lighter than bottles.

Sure, the TSA will protect us from small knives, but they’ll allow a passenger to drink strawberry moscato from a can?
