Bat Lady returns Friday to Stream Center

The Bat Lady is back.
Barbara Ogaard, bat rehabilitator for Sarvey Wildlife Center and researcher for Bats Northwest, brings a few of a her flighty friends along with photos and bat puppets to the NW Stream Center at 7 p.m. Friday.
The whole family can enjoy Ogaard’s presentation and learn about bats and the role they play in fruit pollination (fruit bats, of course), insect control (mouse-eared bats) and medical research (vampire bats).
The bat show may also allay fears about some of those scary-looking creatures and their reputation as blood suckers.
Kids who wear costumes to the bat program will receive a free salmon poster from the Adopt-A-Stream Foundation.
Register for the bat show by calling 425-316-8592. Admission is $5 for Adopt A Stream Foundation members and $7 nonmembers.
