EVERETT — For the third time this season the Granite Falls softball team defeated Archbishop Murphy by one run, this time defeating the Wildcats 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
Junior Lauren Harding held the Wildcats to just three hits, striking out six to improve to 13-1 on the season. Harding also drove in what ended up being the game winning run with an RBI double in the top of the fourth. She finished 2-for-3 at the plate.
Taylor Arndt put the Tigers up 1-0 with an RBI double in the third inning. The freshman finished 2-for-3 with two doubles. The Wildcats loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the first but were unable to put any runs across the plate.
