What’s next — supersized canings? A McDonald’s in Bangkok, Thailand, has been a gathering place for anti-coup protesters, who have been replacing the “m” in democracy with the golden arches in their signs. In response, McDonald’s legal eagles sent the protestors a cease-and-refrain letter.

If the protesters continue to appropriate its logo, McDonald’s promises “appropriate measures,” which presumably involves replacing its entire menu in Thailand with the McLean Deluxe.

Computer crash: By this time next year, driverless cars will be legal in California, where Google is developing the technology.

To make the robot cars truly worthy of the Golden State, Google’s whiz kids need to write code for tailgating at 85 mph — safely (most of the time) — while flipping off other drivers.

The oldest profession: Prostitution and illegal drugs will be included in the official estimates of the British economy, the nation’s statistics agency says.

Just think: If officials in Olympia were to adopt that policy, Aurora Avenue N. would rival south Lake Union as the state’s most vibrant economic enterprise zone.
