Inaugural Bothell Beer Festival to showcase local beers

Known primarily as a wine region, the north shore region will show off its beer at the inaugural Bothell Beer Festival.

The festival showcases seven breweries from the Bothell-Woodinville area and is a great example of just how far the craft beer community there has come over the past few years. The festival is on Festival Street between Main and 183rd in downtown Bothell on Saturday, Oct. 18 from noon to 5 p.m.

Bothell’s own Foggy Noggin Brewing is bringing two beers to the event, including BB14, an English pale ale brewed specifically for this event. Other local brewers at the event will be Woodinville’s Dirty Bucket Brewing, Brickyard Brewing, Triplehorn Brewing and Twelve Bar Brews; Kenmore’s 192 Brewing; and Redmond’s Hi-Fi Brewing.

Also at the event will be Lazy Boy Brewing, Mt. Pilchuck Brewery, Beta Brewing, McMenamins and Salish Sea Brewing.

There will also be food, Carolina Smoke BBQ, and live music provided by Commander Mojo, the Horns of Discontent and The Dogtones.

Tickets are $20 in advance at www.bothellchamber.com/html/BothellBeerFest or $25 at the door. The ticket price includes admission to the event plus a glass mug and 6 tastings.
