EVERETT — So, first flight of the Boeing Co.’s KC-46 appears to just keep getting pushed further out.

The company’s new aerial-refueling tanker isn’t expected to fly until “later on in the summer,” Air Force Secretary Deborah James told U.S. lawmakers on Wednesday, according to Reuters.

The news report says she “blamed the delay on testing and integration challenges with the new plane.”

I reported on Tuesday that the plane wouldn’t be ready by April.

The plane was originally slated to fly in January 2015, then April.
