The current exhibit,“Vibrant Matter,” features the Schack’s 2015 Artists of the Year, photographer James Arrabito and sculptor Verena Schwippert. Arrabito and Schwippert plan to be at the Schack to talk about their works from 12:30 to 4 p.m. each Sunday through Sept. 13. The show ends Sept. 19. Schack Art Center invites the public to watch Italian glass artist and master glassmaker Lino Tagliapietra at work in the Schack’s glassblowing studio from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 8 through 11.

Camano Island Library: The Camano Island Library Friends group is seeking proposals for an indoor work of art. Needed is a two-dimensional piece that will be mounted in the library’s reading room. Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission: Seeking paintings, prints, drawings, miniatures, calligraphy, photographs, 3-D and artisans’ works for its 37th annual Juried Art Show.
