Time for a little comfort and joy. “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” the holiday classic that taught us that even scrawny little trees need our love, returns for another airing. 8 p.m., ABC.

“Top Chef” kicks off its 14th season in Charleston, S.C., with a tasty new twist: Eight new contestants compete alongside eight rivals from seasons past who fell short of the title. 10 p.m., Bravo.
