Boeing picks Goodyear to supply 777X tires

EVERETT — The Boeing Co. has picked the Goodyear Tire &Rubber Co. to make the tires for the 777X airliner, which Boeing plans to assemble in Everett.

Goodyear is supplying its Flight Radial tire for the 777X’s landing gear, the Akron, Ohio-based company said.

“The 777X supply agreement is a very important next step in the continuation of the long-standing relationship between Goodyear and Boeing,” Goodyear Vice President Pierre Jambon said in a statement announcing the contract.
