Three local Democrats will be delegates to the party’s national convention July 25–28 in Philadelphia.

Brown, the Snohomish County Democratic vice chairman, was elected to represent the 7th Congressional District; Negash was elected to represent the 2nd Congressional District; and Chase, an Edmonds School Board member and the 32nd Legislative District Democratic chairwoman, was elected to represent the state at large. All will be delegates for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders at the presidential nominating convention in Philadelphia.

The 2nd Congressional District includes Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, coastal areas of Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties from Mukilteo to Bellingham, and all of Island and San Juan counties.
