Designer Gary Hartz, owner of Kitchens for Cooks Residential Design Services, has been selected to design for the 2017 International Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Orlando, Florida. The internationally trained designer has been featured in The Herald’s Home and Garden section several times. He has worked in the local design industry for more than 30 years and is also a design instructor.

Everett Hydraulic owner to serve as Toastmaster head

Todd Cudaback, owner and president of Everett Hydraulic, has been elected the District 2 director at Toastmasters International and will begin his term on July 1. Cudaback will lead an executive team that oversees 3,600 Toastmasters members in 175 clubs in District 2 that spans from Kent to the Canadian border.

Lynnwood lawyer donates stay at condo for charity

Lynnwood defense attorney Lance R. Fryrear, founder of the Law Office of Lance R. Fryrear, has announced that he recently supported the Washington State Patrol Memorial Foundation at its 34th annual dinner by donating his condo for its live auction, which raised more than $2,200. Hospice of the Northwest appoints new executive director

Hospice of the Northwest, part of Skagit Regional Health and United General District 304, has announced the appointment of Bob Laws to the position of executive director. Laws has worked at Hospice of the Northwest since February 2008. He has five years of experience providing nursing care to patients and families. Laws is replacing Jean Leib who announced her retirement last month.
