MARYSVILLE — Major crimes detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a 29-year-old man whose body was found Tuesday morning in the 3100 block of 88th Street SE.
The discovery of the body was reported to the Sheriff’s Office around 7 a.m. in an area near a power substation, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
A deputy found the man’s body hanging from a nearby tree limb, face down, Ireton said.
Detectives were notified and are investigating whether the death is suspicious, Ireton said. Detectives searched the area Tuesday night, including a nearby homeless encampment.
Identification of the man, as well as a determination of cause and manner of death, are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
