Can you adopt one of these pets from Everett Animal Shelter?
Bella is a sweet super active dog who will need a secure yard (she likes to escape) and no apartments. Bella is still young so needs training and should be crated when alone in the house. Bella will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and will need a cat free environment. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Lovely Luna likes to lounge - her previous owners called her a “happy couch potato”! She’s been an indoor/outdoor cat but she likes the indoor life best - humans have big, comfy beds!! (Tina Gleaton/Everett Animal Shelter)
Pinky is a guy set in his ways. He has lived with calm respectful kids over 10 years old. Pinky doesn’t like fast movements towards him and can be wary of strangers. He has lived with cats and other dogs his size. He does bark when left alone so he would not be suited for an apartment. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Piper came to us as a lost cat. She does enjoy the company of staff and volunteers. We do not know how she will do with small kids, cats or dogs. A slow and proper introduction will need to be made. (Tina Gleaton/Everett Animal Shelter)
Powell is a cool dude looking for his forever home. If his new home has any canine residents he will need to meet them prior to adoption. His new home should not have any cats and any children in the home should be over 10 years old. Powell is very strong and will need daily exercise to keep him happy and healthy. Powell is an escape artist so will need a very secure fence and supervision. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Sophie is a calm girl who has a playful side. What are her favorite toys, you ask? She loves lasers and plastic springs! Sophie would prefer to be the only cat in your home but she doesn’t mind living with dogs. (Tina Gleaton/Everett Animal Shelter)
Sunny is a nice girl looking for a forever home. She has lived with kids over 6 years old, other dogs her size and cats. Her previous owners said she does not appreciate the company of large dogs. Sunny will need regular grooming to keep her comfortable. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Tiger is a sweet boy that is going to need a lot of training and work. His previous owners left him outside at all times, therefor we are unsure of how he is going to do in a house so he will need someone that is home more often then not. He has not lived with any other animals so we recommend a meet and greet with resident dogs and no cats in the house. When he is alone we think training him to use a create might save your house until he learns his potty manners. In his past he did like to jump over the fence. His new house needs to have a fenced yard, apartment are not going to suit this buy guys energy level. He is just looking for someone to love on him and make up for his past. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
