MONROE — A man in his 30s was hospitalized Saturday after a crash along Old Owen Road near Monroe.

He apparently drove his car into a power pole, knocking down electrical wires. He then wandered down an embankment. Rescue crews found him there shortly after 3 a.m., according to Snohomish County Fire District 7.

The man was taken in an airlift helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
