Everett district honors student artists

The Everett School District and the Everett Public Schools Foundation held a reception and awards ceremony April 26 honoring the schools’ best student artists.
Jackson High School senior Rebecca Strom earned the Visual Art Scholarship.
Sophomore Heidi Kim, also from Jackson, earned the Superintendent’s Choice Award. Her piece, “Ashley,” will be permanently displayed at the district office.
An art show displaying works by elementary school winners will be on display 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, May 23 to June 6, at the district administration building, 3900 Broadway.
