YD fundraiser: Arlington Youth Dynamics holds its annual “Rooted in Love” dinner and auction fundraiser, 6-9 p.m. May 20 at Arlington FM Church, 730 E Highland Drive. Barbecue dinner, live and silent auctions, dessert dash and more to benefit Arlington Youth Dynamics programs and scholarships. Free childcare. Cost is $25. Day of Hope: Hope Creek Charitable Foundation holds its annual Day of Hope, May 20-21, a community service event. Volunteers are needed. Both days, Gold Creek Community Church (4326 148th St. SE, Mill Creek) will offer free drop-in services, including hearing screenings, hair cuts, car washes, manicures, and a health clinic.
