EVERETT — Everett police are asking for help identifying a man who broke into a gas station and marijuana shop early Monday.

The 76 gas station in the 2800 block of Hewitt Avenue was hit first. Surveillance footage showed the suspect driving a stolen white Honda around the business several times, according to a press release. He used the front bumper to break the gas station’s front door. A security alarm alerted police about 1:30 a.m.

Video footage from inside the gas station shows the suspect stealing cigarettes and lottery tickets.

As police were pulling up, the suspect sped off. Officers didn’t pursue because of safety reasons, according to a press release.

Bud’s Garage in the 3000 block of Everett Avenue was burglarized three hours later.

The suspect was described as white and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with green writing, light colored jeans and black shoes.
