AAUW Edmonds SnoKing awards scholarship, STEM honors

The American Association of University Women Edmonds SnoKing branch awarded its annual STEM Scholarship of $1,500 to Vesta Baumgartner, a graduating senior from Mountlake Terrace High School.
Baumgartner earned straight As, including in her college-level Advanced Placement courses. She studied Mandarin and Spanish, played in the band and competed on the track team. She plans to attend the University of Washington and plans to become a wildlife veterinarian.
The local AAUW branch also recognized the following high school juniors for their achivements in science, technology or math.
Lynnwood: Shannnon Hang, Kiara Sahagun and Emellia Nguyen
Mountlake Terrace: Ashley Klippert, Karen Benson and Trang Phan
Edmonds-Woodway: Klara Gaspers, Audrey Lindstrom and Olivia Olson
Meadowdale: Mika Vogt, Kathryn Graves and Olivia Gluth
