EVERETT — A 28-year-old man and his four children, all under the age of 5, were involved in a head-on crash Saturday. The man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The children and the other driver were taken to a local hospital but it didn’t appear that their injuries were life-threatening, Everett police office Aaron Snell said.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. at 100th Street SW and Evergreen Way. The other driver, 36, was waiting to take a left onto 100th Street. The suspect reportedly was driving north in the southbound lane and collided with the other driver.

The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for DUI and reckless endangerment. He was released Sunday.
