Reel World Cinema: Free Movie Fridays twice monthly in the Calvin Lounge at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Potluck at 6 p.m. Movie at 7 p.m. Discussion follows. The current theme is “Demagoguery and Democracy: Corrupted Truth and Manipulative Politics in American Cinema, 1930–1970.” The film on Nov. 3 is “All the King’s Men” by Robert Rossen. The 1949 film stars Broderick Crawford as the Southern lawyer Willie Stark.

Diversity Film Series: The city of Edmonds’ Diversity Commission has announced it inaugural series. The free screenings will be at noon on third Saturdays in November, January, February, March and April at the Edmonds Theater, 415 Main St. Arrive 15 minutes early. Edmonds Center for the Arts Film Cabaret Series: Continues Jan. 12 with “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” from 2000 and the Warren G. Hardings band. On March 15, see the 1999 film “The Buena Vista Social Club” with music by Alma y Azucar. On April 26, see “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” from 1961 with the Jake Bergevin Quartet. Sno-King Meaningful Movies: “Time to Choose,” a film by Charles Ferguson about how individuals can help stop the threat of climate change, will be shown at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 at Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 8109 224th St. SW. Discussion follows with Lynn Fitz Hugh of One Sustainable Planet.
